We accidently booked and paid for the Sensoji store and only realised the night before. We arrived early to Kenrokuen store to explain and the ladies had no issues and gave us a spare slot. They very clearly explained when extra costs were involved and any language barrier was solved with Google translate. Lovely choice of kimonos and hair styles. We booked student and a 1 star plan. Since it was hot today, opted for yukata which was extra for 1 star plan. Very professional service, thank you for a great day in kimonos/yukatas.

One of the best experiences of my whole trip! I’d wanted to do a kimono rental for a while and I am very glad I picked here. They have a beautiful range of kimonos and the ladies were very helpful with picking out what would go well with me and helping me get ready. I did the standard plan and with that there was a decent range of choice, but you were given the option to upgrade in every individual area (i.e obi, obi tie design, accessories, hairstyle, bag etc, all of which cost \550 each). You also have to pay for insurance on arrival but it isn’t too costly (about \500).
Overall a wonderful experience and I enjoyed myself very much! Big recommend!
The staff was really very nice with us and the experience of wearing the yukata in the Kenroku-en park and in the Higashi Chaya-gai was amazing ????My daughters loved it and didn’t want to take it off in the evening.
